What the NFLT brings to the table, what we saw first hand, is not just an understanding of the process, and a staff possessing the technical skills necessary to compiling the mass of necessary data but also a certain institutional stature that gets the attention of the decision makers.
Additionally, the calm, persistent, evidence and science based approach they apply to a project that they see as having merit and value……well……that sort of thing overcomes great hurdles, hurdles that would stymie a landowner working alone.
In our view, they are a catalyst that turns potential into conservation!
